Web Directory List - part 1

Following is a list of free web directories. Some directories don't require any reciprocal link but some sites require. Generally web directories will have 3 option such as paid inclusion (express submit or featured list), free submit with reciprocal link and free submit (not recommend except your pagerank is more than 3). I have found many web directories while surfing the internet. I try to submit all web directory as listed below. Some web directories is expensive for express inclusion but some is quite good as my recommend). I would like to suggest you to submit your website (copy url and paste in address bar) in order to get quality link (from same catagory) as below:

How to create sitemap.xml

You can do sitemap of your website in two ways. One is easy to do online at http://www.xml-sitemaps.com where will make sitemap.xml to you for free and two is make it by yourself. It's simple to do just have html builder such as dreamweaver, editplus and etc. Just put this in html file

<priority>0.5</priority>

<lastmod>2007-02-21</lastmod>

<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>

</url>

xxx is your website name. Priority is value between 0.1 to 1.0 but it's not effect to your pagerank. It just tell google that this page is more importance than other pages. may be daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Please indicate how often your website is updated. You can add all of your web pages in form ...

When you are finished, please submit to google sitemap (http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps) and Yahoo! Explorer (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com). You must authenticate your website and submit sitemap.xml in each. Now you have announced your website to the world and continue to improve your ranking in Lesson 2

Make SEO step by step (Lesson 1)

I hope you (starter) doing well. I'm supposed you to have 4-6 web pages now. In the next step, we will create web page about 50 pages with short content but one in the same theme or pattern. You should be aware about folder and sub-folder name which are important for making search engine optimization (SEO).

For example, your main keyword (keyword 1) is "search engine opritmization". You should write them down repeatly in content of the first page (index page) about 18-20 times (don't cloaking or spam) such as "search engine optimization is method for making optimization to search engine in order to improve your website ranking in seach engine better as website optimization". Each folder name may be "/search-engine/" and sub-floder name is "../optimiztion/". If file in that sub-floder is seo.html, you've got as "/search-engine/optimization/seo.html". I hope you will understand better about folder and sub-floder name including keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, .... in each web page. Keyword in each page should not be same but main keyword in each page should be same as file name such as keyword.html or folder/sub-floder/keyword.html including content text as well.

You should create sitemap.html where is shown link structure of your website and sitemap.xml for submitting to Google sitemap and Yahoo Search. After this step, I hope you will hold 5-6 main pages (long content), sitemap.html, sitemap.xml and 50 pages (short content) in folders or sub-folders.

Make SEO for new webmaster and web site

What is your site objective? You answer may be objective is related with Travel, SEO, Directory or etc. For new comer, you will find keyword for your website name if you have not had website and domian name. You can use many tools to find these keywords such as Google Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) or Goodkeywords Tool (http://www.goodkeywords.com). You choose 10 keywords first in each keyword list of each tools for your website and then register domain name with one of keywords which you've got.

For next step, you should make web pages about 5-6 pages such as index, about us, etc. Each page must be linked to index page (home page) and index page must link back as well. All of pages will consist of rich text content which there are 10 your keywords in there and repeat your keyword about 7-10 times in the content. Filename, its title and heading content (heading text) of each files should be same as possible such as seo.html, seo - search engine optimization (in title tag) and seo - search engine optimization (in header text of body content in first line).

After that, please upload your site and submit to 3 main search engines (copy url and paste it in address bar) as below:
1. Google : http://www.google.com/addurl
2. Yahoo : http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
3. MSN : http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx

SEO Trick - How to find popular keyword

You may use some software to find them but in fact you are trying to get better position in search engine ranking especially for google. Thus, you should use google facilities to find popular keywords in the same way.

Google Trends help you to seek and compare each keyword such as popularity in each time interval. You can try by copy and paste it in address bar http://www.google.com/trends and find what you seek.

Google Keyword Tools help you find out most popular keyword in each country or area in the world so that you can do specialize in each territories easily. You can try by using https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and watch what you want.

SEO Tip : Webmaster Guidelines by Google

Google has suggested webmasters who submit their site to Google. The recommendation below will help google find, index and rank their site.

Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.
Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 100 or so links.
Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.
Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.
Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. The Google crawler doesn't recognize text contained in images.
Make sure that your TITLE and ALT tags are descriptive and accurate.
If you decide to use dynamic pages (i.e., the URL contains "?" character), be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few.
Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100).

SEO Tip : seo by META tag

META tag has important to do seo. First of all, your title tag and page title should have 3-28 words. Please add keyword at least and relevant words in you title. Your keyword's prominance should be 75% in META keyword. It's not necessary to use many meta keywords but they are not relevant to your main keyword. For example, main keyword is SEO but you use meta keywords to be tools, web tools or anything like this but you should use seo tools, web seo, search engine and something like this.
Description should be relavant to your title and keywords as well. If logo is image file, you should add alternative text for image in your script to be something related to your keywords. In the next time, we will tell you about content inside web.
